Pinnacle Business Solutions Inc., as Medicare Fiscal Intermediary, currently processes the Part A Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi workloads in two separate sets of CICS regions. In order to maximize efficiency and cost savings in preparation for the J7 A/B MAC implementation, CMS will merge the three Part A workloads (Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi) into a single set of CICS regions for production and user acceptance testing.
The contractor workload numbers will remain the same following this merge. However, whenever there are multiple workload numbers within a single Fiscal Intermediary Shared System CICS region, the workloads need to be processed using a rollup number. Therefore, a temporary contractor workload rollup number (00234) will be assigned. We will not at this time split the Part A Louisiana and Mississippi workloads into separate workloads for workload reporting purposes.
