Appealing PPS Denials [Webinar – 90 minutes]
In this seminar the participant will learn the latest information regarding the PPS claim review process. We will review CMS Program Memorandum AB-00-122 along with other pertinent regulations. We will discuss CMS’s claims review process, known UB-04 edits, the importance of having accurate MDS information on the UB-04, how to correct UB-04 errors and how to bill for late charges. Strategies on how to avoid suspended and denied claims will be covered. We will outline a denial tracking procedure and provide sample appeal letters. In addition, we will outline the top five billing errors that can delay claim processing or trigger a claim denial.
